The New Riga Theatre was renovated according to architect Zaiga Gaile's design, combining preserved historical values with modern design, innovation, and sustainable solutions. The building's volume nearly doubled with complex underground structures. The basement now houses workshops, and a new five-story building includes two "Black Box" halls, rehearsal rooms, and actor facilities. The buildings are connected by a glass passage. The Great Hall retains the century-old spirit, featuring restored 1930s elements like the central lamp, light fixtures, and dark reddish-brown pine plywood panels.
