Object: Retail building at Kalnciema Street 38, Riga. The retail building is positioned with its longer facade facing Kalnciema Street, respecting the preserved facade of the existing building situated on the red line of Kalnciema Street.The new volume facing Kalnciema Street was designed to serve as a backdrop for the historical buildings, highlighting them. The end facade of the retail building facing Melnsila Street is designed with a glazed, open volume complemented by closed plane fragments to create a suitable plane distribution in scale with the existing development.
