The new building of the Riga Art and Media School
The main space of the new building of the Riga Art and Media School is a filming studio (blackbox) with dimensions of 20m x 21m, 9m high for filming and recording needs. Next to the studio, there are study rooms, photo studio, changing rooms and make―up rooms on three floors. The lobby on the ground floor is open towards the new pedestrian street. The landscaped area with an amphitheater connects the new building with the existing school and forms a place for students to gather. Monochrome aesthetics refer to the characteristic elements of film industry, including the well―known clapperboard.
