LNVM occupies the oldest part of Riga Castle. The latest restoration that underwent in the castle created the identity for the museum as well as defined the concept for the upcoming restoration in the future. The most significant work includes the façades of the castle, spatial and structural reconstruction of the floor levels, the restoration of the historical space of Chapel and Dining hall. The restored spaces are of the significant value for Riga Castle interior and the identity of the museum, developing to the essential but neutral background of the exposition on the upper floors.
