RUUME arhitekti and Merks have completed the last two residential buildings in Viesturdārzs Quarter. This architectural ensemble is a significant structure on a city scale, creating a new type of residential building in the historic centre of Riga - with human-scale accessible ground floor and street level; restrained, functional facade architecture with natural materiality. All apartments have access to private and public outdoor spaces - terraces, balconies, loggias, playgrounds and a park in the middle of the block. Buildings have a total of 259 apartments and a living area of 21 900 m2.
